The incumbent Nandi Governor Stephen Sang has cast his vote at St. Peters Clevers Kobujoi primary school polling station in Aldai constituency where he urged the residents to turn up in large numbers to exercise their democratic right.

Sang who was accompanied by his wife asked residents to ensure they exercise their democratic right of voting without failure in order to choose their right leaders.

Speaking after casting his vote at 6; 45 am, Sang cited that as a leader has exercised his constitutional right of voting thus the public should follow suit by coming out in large numbers.

The incumbent governor also urged Nandi residents to vote peacefully and preach peace for the prosperity of Nandi and the Nation at large adding that peace is a key pillar of development and prosperity.

The Governor is fighting to retain his gubernatorial seat for a second term as he battles out the race with other three independent candidates including the former Nandi Governor Dr. Cleophas Lagat.
