Nandi Governor elect his Excellency Stephen Sang and his deputy elect Dr. Yulita Mitei have officially taken oath of office in a colourful ceremony held at Kapsabet showground.
The two were sworn in by Justice Eric Ogola assisted by Samuel Mokua the Chief Magistrate of Kapsabet Law Courts whereby they swore to abide by the leadership and integrity code.
While addressing the mammoth crowd at the showground after his oath of office, Nandi governor Stephen Sang lauded the residents for having faith in him and voting him a second time, saying he will work diligently and with humility for the people of Nandi.
“I will work diligently with humility for the people of Nandi to ensure services are taken closer to the public.” He affirmed.
Sang was re-elected a second time on a UDA ticket with over two hundred thousand votes.
Leaders present at the ceremony include; the Nandi elect MPs across the county.
Nandi County has six sub-counties with thirty Wards.
It borders the neighbouring counties of Uasin Gishu, Kericho, Kisumu, Vihiga and Kakamega.
