The vocal Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter has lost his parliamentary seat to the UDA candidate Bernard Kitur.
Kitur garnered 23,503 votes against Keter’s 18,037.
Keter was contesting on an independent ticket after he was denied UDA party nominations which he allegedly won in April 2022.
Critics of Keter accused him of undermining the Deputy President during the ten years that he served as the MP for Nandi Hills.
The new MP said local voters will work with the Deputy President and the UDA party to develop the constituency in terms of roads, schools, health facilities among other developments.
