The County leadership of Nandi led by Governor Stephen Sang and Senator Samson Cherargey have unanimously agreed to work together as a team for the betterment of the region vowing not to fight like the previous regime leaders.
Speaking in a function in Nandi the duo together with the entire Nandi leadership among them MCAs and MPs pledged to work together by focusing on issues affecting Nandi residents and ensure all the stalled projects across the region are accomplished to benefit the residents.
“We as the Nandi leadership have unanimously agreed that there will be no infights and wrangles amongst us but to work together as a team to make Nandi great”. Sang affirmed.
The former regime of leaders in Nandi whom majority were sent home in the concluded 2022 General Elections were backbiting each other politicallly which saw Nandi derailed in developments and residents lacked service delivery from the leadership.
The wrangles began after the 2017 General Elections whereby five out of the total six Members of Parliament from the region colluded with Senator Samson Cherargey and ganged up against the Governor which left the County in wrangles with no work and development at all.
They affirmed that they have set aside their political differences and are sojouring on the developmental process of the region.
