Terik ward MCA Osborn Komen has urged all the political leaders in Nandi to uphold unity among themselves and work together as a team for the development of the County.
Speaking to West Media in his office Komen urged the leaders from the top echelons in the County to the lowest to come together as a team and chart the way forward, adding that leaders weren’t elected to trade insults, “These leaders need to come together, reason together and find solutions that are going to uplift the wellbeing of our people through development,” said Komen.
He urged MPs have occasional meetings in their sub-counties and that Nandi Governor Stephen Sang should meet MCAs to discuss the welfare of Nandi residents.
His call comes amid political wrangles between the Governor, the Senator and MPs on graft allegations in the County, where Governor Sang has shouldered most of the blame.
Last week, Nandi residents had organized a demo, protesting against corruption in the County but it failed to kick off due to heavy police presence.
