Nandi leadership led by Members of Parliament from the region have asked the President of the Republic of Kenya His Excellency William Ruto to ensure completion of the building in Koitalel University is achieved since it has stalled for long.

Speaking to Journalists in Kapsabet, the leadership led by the Chair Parliamentary Committee on education Hon. Julius Melly, Tindiret MP cited that the project has stalled since 2015 and there is need for completion to serve its purpose.

They urged the President to take up the matter which they blamed on the differences that arose during Jubilee regime thus wants Ruto to tackle it since Uhuru’s tenure is over.

The construction of the University had been earmarked for completion before Uhuru’s tenure a thing which didn’t sail through due to the differences between the duo.

The project kicked off in 2015 and to date has not reached its completion process thus the President needs to chip in so as to serve its purpose.

“Jubilee government frustrated the project due to evolved differences between Uhuru and Ruto and as Nandi leaders we plead for our able President to assist us by ensuring the institution reaches its completion.” They said

“The government took Mosoriot Teachers College and turned it into a University being the constituent college of University of Nairobi and as Nandi leaders we want the current government to allocate more funds in order to facilitate the development of Koitalel Samoei University the main Campus in Nandihils,”  they added
