Nandi residents have welcomed the move by the President elect Dr. William Samoei Ruto to reduce the cost of Unga and fertilizers by next week after swearing in ceremony.
The residents led by farmers while speaking to Journalists in Kapsabet, lauded Ruto’s sentiments on Sunday while in Meru saying he will have helped Kenyans especially the Wanjiku’s by reducing the cost of living thus are very happy and are awaiting the D-day.
The President elect Dr. Ruto said that he will reduce Unga and fertilizers by next week after taking oath of office.
“Once sworn in I will announce the new prices of maize flour and fertilizers because I have embarked on the journey of reforming the agriculture sector,” Ruto said while in his tour to Meru on Sunday.
They cited that majority of Kenyans are going through hell at the moment since the hit of Covid-19 which killed the Country’s economy seeing many business closures and collapse thus will be very happy if Ruto implements all his promises within the first hundred days.
The President elect together with his Deputy elect is set to take an oath of office on Tuesday 12th September, 2022 at Kasarani stadium.
Kenyans have been battling the high cost of living including high costs of Unga, fuel and fertilizer which has made their lives miserable due to poor economy and have high hopes with the new government to bring in reformations and transformations that will change their lives.
