Nandi residents led by a section of MCAs took to the streets of Kapsabet town to celebrate the Court of Appeal Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) ruling that was overturned by a seven bench judge.
The residents who were keenly following the Court of Appeal proceedings in Hotels and clubs in Kapsabet town came out in large numbers making rounds within the streets of the town to celebrate the immense ruling which to them has shown that Kenya has judiciary brains that won’t be fooled or compromised.
Kapsabet ward Member of County Assembly Hon Fredrick Kipkemboi said as a leader is lauding the Court of Appeal ruling on defending the constitution adding that as Nandi county assembly, they stood with the law from the time they were pushed to pass the bill and is proud of Nandi assembly for shooting down the bill and became the second county after Baringo county to reject the Bill.
Kipkemboi said they will rally behind the deputy president William Ruto and will support him fully in the coming general elections as they all belong to the hustler nation.
The legislator lauded the decision taken by some of the BBI supporters in accepting the Court of Appeal ruling saying that nobody has won or lost, as it is the constitution that has won.
