As Kenyans wait for the state of the nation address by President Uhuru Kenyatta this afternoon, Nandi residents have highlighted issues they expect him to address including the ailing economy, state of education corruption among others. Some of them who spoke to West Media in Kapsabet town, mostly business people, said they expect the President to announce new measures to revive the economy which has been strangled by the Coronavirus pandemic.
Others said they expect the President to address other pertinent matters like the government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, matters affecting women and the youth. They also said he should explain further why NHIF doesn’t provide cover for Coronavirus patients and the plight of farmers, “We want issues affecting farmers to be addressed fully, since they’ve bene completely forgotten,” they said.
