Nandi County men’s football team met their match in the ongoing Kenya Youth Intercounty Sports Association (KYISA) games after they were beaten by the Kakamega County team by one goal in a match played at the Kapsabet Boys High School ground. Kakamega took an early lead after a goal which was scored at the 10th minute, leaving the home team with an uphill task which they were unable to overcome. Kakamega is now leading the pool, while the home County team is in the second position after a win and a draw. The teams have qualified for quarters and they are set to face Kwale and Kisumu teams.
In basketball, the ladies’ category, Kisumu defeated Nandi, while in volleyball in the ladies’ category, the match between Nandi and Kwale was postponed after it had already started due to heavy downpour.
