NASA Presidential candidate and ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that the opposition government is meant to be a transformative government, “This government we are forming will be a transitional and transformative government, ” he said, “It will sweep away all the Jubilee chaff.”
During his speech at Uhuru park after he was unveiled NASA presidential candidate, he said the party is a team, a pentagon team, with him being a captain but tied together to all Kenyans. He said that he is the first among equals, indicating that they’re all on the same plane, “The five of us, we want to transform Kenya and accomplish the Kenyan dream our fathers envisaged,” he said, citing poverty, unemployment, high prices of basic commodities, education costs and health as some of the issues to be tackled.

Raila Odinga acknowledged the support of the party’s co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Isaac Ruto, “This is utmost respect that my brothers have shown me, by placing me as NASA’s flagbearer in the general elections.” He said the leaders took their time to select the opposition party’s team.
