A large number of youth from different Constituencies within Bungoma County turned up for the enrolment youth program with their identification cards for verification purposes. The process which was officially launched on 7th June by Bungoma County Commissioner Samuel Kimiti is still ongoing.
The contracts which usually last for a period of three months or more will last for a period of two months, until the election period where they will take a break until the next government elected which is expected to determine their way of operation. According to their supervisor Kennedy Mukhisa the program has benefited more than 150 youths in Bungoma County.
He said the program has benefited the youth who are facing unemployment in Bungoma and urged those who had not applied for the youth empowerment program to consider the next online application schedule and apply.
