The Ministry for Interior and national administration has effected the new fees and levies for various Immigration and Citizen Services.
Effective from March 1st 2024, replacing a National Identification Card [ID] one will have to part with KSh1, 000 up from Sh100, while replacing a passport will cost Sh20, 000 from Sh12, 000.
For those who will be seeking to get a new 34-page passport which was Sh4, 500 previously will now pay Sh7, 500.
Getting an Express Passport now will cost a whooping Sh30, 000. Citizen registration for lawful residents will now cost Sh1 million from Sh200, 000 before the changes. Re-registration of a birth certificate will now cost one Sh1, 000, up from Sh90.
