Newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries, selected by President William Ruto, were officially sworn in on Thursday during a ceremony held at State House, Nairobi.
Following their approval by the National Assembly and the subsequent oath-taking, Geoffrey Ruku and Hanna Wendot Cheptumo have formally assumed leadership of the Ministry of Public Service and the Ministry of Gender, respectively.
The two were appointed by President William Ruto in recent changes to the Cabinet that saw Justin Muturi removed from his position as the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service.
The newly sworn-in Principal Secretaries include Dr. Jane Imbunya, Regina Akoth, Cyrell Wagunda, Dr. Caroline Karugu, and Dr. Fredrick Oluga Ouma.
Others are Ahmed Ibrahim, Judith Pareno, Boniface Makokha, and Prof. Shaukar Abdulrazak.
Stephen Isaboke, Michel Lenasalon, Frikirini Kahindi, Carren Achieng, and Aden Millah were also appointed by the President.
While addressing the swearing-in ceremony, President William Ruto expressed confidence in the newly appointed leaders, emphasizing their responsibility to diligently execute their duties. He underscored that every leader must remain accountable and ensure efficiency in service delivery.

“I am confident that the team I have carefully selected and that has been approved by Parliament is going to serve with the integrity expected of you, professionalism that will deliver results, and the cohesion that will make our team succeed as one,” said the President.
The President praised the fruits of reforms in key sectors of the country while highlighting the benefits of an inclusive government.
“This broad-based government is the one that is going to deliver on universal health coverage. We have a health care program that supports the majority in a very small way and a minority in a very big way,” he added.
