Amani National Congress Bungoma County chairperson Martin Waliaula has assured all aspirants a free, fair and credible nominations cautioning those who have been promised direct nomination ticket adding that ANC will not allow such.
“ANC is a national party that upholds rules of the party and will not allow people to get direct nominations, we are a democratic party and will give a fair chance to everyone to participate and the winner will be given the party ticket,” said Waliaula
Waliaula said there are people who want to con aspirants by promising to help them secure direct tickets by paying them some cash. “No one should give out money to be given a direct nomination, we have leaders who are in control and no one will be given a direct ticket in ANC, let them not con aspirants,” he warned.
“The election board is ready and they are hoping to give people from Bungoma and other areas candidates that the citizens are going to choose as a result of verifiable nominations.” He added.
Caroline Wanyonyi, the chairperson for women league in Bungoma County said that women are ready to vote and support ANC members who will be vying for various seats. She also urged women to join the party and vie for various seats saying they stand a chance of leading in various capacities.
Omar Swaleh, ANC youth leader and also an aspirant for Township ward said that ANC has got enough aspirants especially in Western region as compared to other parties urging the people from the region to support Kenya Kwanza coalition being led by the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto of UDA, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula.
