ODM party secretary general Edwin Sifuna has criticized ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi after his remarks on the Ford Kenya leadership and statement that outside forces are attacking independent minded parties. His statement came hours after Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula opposed an ouster, and he indicated that ODM party leader Raila Odinga is part of schemes to dominate politically, referring to him simply as ‘leader of a NASA party’.
In a rejoinder from the ODM party, Sifuna blasted Mudavadi, saying he is perennially programmed to be the compromise in nearly all political fallouts. “It is strange that Musalia Mudavadi then acts as a professional mourner in the happenings of Ford Kenya,” he said.
He said Mudavadi’s shaky position is highlighted by the fact that he couldn’t name Raila Odinga in his statement and that after experiencing some failures in his political path, he has turned to “the leader of a NASA party”. He distanced ODM from the ongoings at Ford Kenya, and said that Mudavadi should also steer clear, citing that the ANC party leader has organized political meetings in the past few weeks and no one has stopped him, “It is imperative in the same vein that he must let Ford Kenya members and officials chart their own future too.”
