ODM to start online registration of members
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party will start registering its members through online and phone.
This has been revealed by the party’s Busia Branch secretary Mr. Innocent Aluku after leading a branch meeting in their Busia town office.
Aluku said this will help avert cases of rigging the party votes during elections, “During the Okoa Kenya initiative bid our register was tampered with and that is why we have decided to register our members through a new technology.”
“With this new way of registration it will be hard to rig our votes. When you key in ones ID then their ODM membership status come out automatically.” He added.
The secretary who was accompanied by the branch chairperson who is also the Matayo’s MP Hon. Geoffrey Odanga, said they will educate its members and members of the public who would want to join the party on the new method.
“We have already started at the branch level and we shall move up to the grassroots level.”
He exuded confidence that the opposition party will emerge victorious in the next year General Elections.

“We have put in places mechanisms that will see us swipe votes in the coming elections.”
Hon. Odanga said they agreed in the meeting to implement projects and plans geared towards improving status of the youth within the party.
“ODM was the first party to implement laws on youth empowerment as stated in the Constitution of Kenya of 2010. And today we have agreed to further empower our youth within the party.”
The MP however urged youths to come out and be seen so that they are supported.
