Kenya’s sprinting sensation Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala clocked 10.07 seconds to win heat 5 of the Commonwealth games and earn an automatic spot in the semi-final.
This race was held on 2nd August 2022 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The African 100m record holder overcame pressure from Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme who posed as a tough competitor in the race.
Eseme finished second in the race after clocking a time of 10.08 seconds.
Elsewhere another Kenyan, Samwel Imeta made it to the semis after finishing second in heat 2 after clocking a time of 10.12 seconds.
The semi-final of the 100m race will be held on Wednesday.
