One person was seriously injured in an accident that involved a truck near Kaburengu trading center along Eldoret – Webuye highway.
According to eyewitnesses the truck which was ferrying construction materials failed brakes while descending the steep Chimoi slope towards Webuye before the driver lost control.
The driver was forced to jump from the speeding vehicle as it approached Nzoia Bridge, seriously injuring himself.
The vehicle proceeded on before it fell across the road a few meters from the bridge blocking the busy highway.
The driver who suffered several fractures was rescued and rushed to Webuye sub county hospital.
