Emuhaya MP Wilber Otichillo has said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party gave ticket him a direct ticket to run for the gubernatorial seat because no one offered himself to challenge him in the coming nominations.
The MP refuted claims that those given direct nomination tickets were favored by the top party brass for their loyalty to the party. “My opponents feared me and therefore no one was willing to challenge me. All those given party tickets by ODM party had no competitors,” he said.
He said that there were politicians who were spreading falsehood that the party is not democratic because they were given direct tickets.
