Vihiga Governor Dr. Wilber Ottichilo has taken issue with a section of the civil society members who are out to derail his development agenda for the people of Vihiga.
Speaking at Sosa during the Mid Term Review of County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP 2018-2022), the Governor said in as much as criticism of his administration is welcome, civil society should not use it to destabilize his government.
“My government is stable and intact, any attempts to derail our focus will not succeed,” said Ottichilo. “I made a commitment to the people of Vihiga when they elected me to office and my primary goal is to meet what I purposed to do for Vihiga people,” he added.
The Governor rubbished the allegations of corruption in his government adding that he was elected on a zero tolerance to corruption platform in 2017.
“I cannot oversee corruption in my government when I was elected on the basis of zero tolerance to corruption”, said the County boss.
The Mid Term Review of the CIDP sought to assess the gains made from the plan and what is to be done moving forward.
Dr. Otichillo took the opportunity to outline what his administration has achieved in various departments ranging from Health, Education, Agriculture, Transport and Infrastructure just to mention a few.
The CIDP provides a road map through which the County undertakes various development projects in different County departments.
