Over eight thousand front line workers from Nandi have so far been vaccinated against the Covid-19 which is hitting hard.

Nandi county health officer Dr David Bungei said a total of eight thousand, four hundred front line workers across Nandi have received the jab and the exercise is ongoing well in all the six sub-county health facilities.

Bungei said those already vaccinated are police officers, health workers, teachers and residents above fifty eight years.

He revealed that the jab is safe and has no any side effects therefore urged every resident from the region to take it for their safety citing that Covid-19 is real and it is not known when it will end therefore taking preventive measures  and vaccination is the only way to curb the spread.

“So far so good, the vaccination process is ongoing well and we haven’t received any complaints concerning the effects or reaction on the jab,” affirmed Bungei

Already top government officials from Nandi led by the Nandi governor Stephen Sang have been vaccinated leading as an example; there is no need for anyone to fear or doubt the vaccine.

He stated that the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic is hitting hard and is very dangerous people should take precautions by accepting to be vaccinated and by strictly adhering to the Covid-19 measures as per the Ministry of health directives.

He has urged Nandi residents to turn up in large numbers to be vaccinated saying it is good for their safety.
