Parents have been urged to change their attitude towards the new curriculum (CBC) for primary schools by seeing it as an important and beneficial program.
Addressing students of Kitabisi R.C Primary school of Kimaeti ward Bumula Sub-County during the exercise of awarding the best pupils in the school, head teacher Mr. Wakhungu Aggrey said that CBC is as cheap as the 8-4-4 curriculum.
Wakhungu said parents and other stakeholders in the education system who are ever complaining about the new curriculum haven’t critically analysed and discovered the best side of the curriculum.
On the other hand, Mr. Wakhungu applauded parents who have given him support in managing the school as the head teacher noting that the school has so many challenges that can’t be handled by him alone, citing lack of water in the school as the major challenge.
He has urged the government through the Ministry of Education to help the school get clean water for drinking and other use by the school.
