Parents from Chesumei constituency and across Nandi region have been urged to ensure their children have acquired technical skills for their betterment of their future by joining TVET institutions to gain experience.
This is according to Chesumei legislator Hon Wilson Kogo who insisted that technical institutions equip learners with skills and innovations that will help them change their lives in future through transformation so there is need for parents to embrace it and give their children chance to study in such institutions.
Speaking in Chemundu CDF grounds during TVET sensitization program to the public, a program that will run in all the Constituency wards, Kogo said technical courses are meant for everybody to acquire various skills not for failures the way many parents have perceiving it thus should be put into considerations.
“Technical courses are meant for all learners as it gives manual training jobs that will enable them transform their lives through skills and innovations gained at the end of the course and parents should embrace it.” He affirmed.
He asked parents to take their children to TVET institutions and get to learn the importance of such institutions by informing those with negative attitude to consider changing.
Over 1500 form four leavers from the entire constituency are set to join technical institutions for various courses.
