Parents with children living with disability have been urged to take them to school.
Speaking during the receivership event of more than 87 wheelchairs donated by an organization through the Mumias East CDF program, the head teacher of the Rise and Shine school for the disabled, Madam Linet Hongwe has called upon parents with children living with disabilities to come out of the hideout and take them to school.
She emphasized that children with disabilities deserve more care and special treatment, and should not be neglected in the community.
She urged well wishers to come in and help the school which is the only public school for the disabled in Mumias East Sub County with learning materials.
The area assistant chief Mr. Daniel Chichole also echoed her sentiments asking residents and Kenyans at large to engage in peaceful campaigns during this electioneering period,.
