Nandi Deputy Governor Dr. Yulita Cheruiyot has affirmed the County government’s commitment to empower and support the people living with disabilities from across the County. Speaking at Kapsabet Boys High School, she said the government remains committed to ensure the people living with disabilities access ideal opportunities to enable them fulfill their potential.
She said the focus is on inclusivity, equity and sustainable development for them. The Department of Culture and Social Welfare donated and distributed wheelchairs, sewing machines, saloon kits and other items to the people living with disabilities at the function.

The Deputy Governor further urged them to register with the Disability Council in the County, saying registration will not only ease the need for identification by the government but will also assist in planning and allocation of funds.
