The police officers will be expected to carefully follow new rules enhanced to guide them all over the country to strengthen their services to the Kenyan people.

Among the new rules is that when a police officer receives his her letter of employment they will be expected to work for a period of ten years without giving in a letter of resignation or involved in any business.
According to Bungoma South OCPD Kirui David the move comes in place after so many challenges have been witnessed in the police especially where most of them have been seen quitting jobs for greener pastures or involve in other businesses.
He said some of the officers have been concentrating majorly on what they do as part time earning jobs forgetting their main duties.
Such a move is expected to give way to those who will not manage working with the police service to give it a second thought before signing their employment letters
He also said this will ensure employed officers’ whole heartedly concentrates in their line of duty unlike when they are never settled thinking of the businesses they have established.
