Pain and grief have engulfed Kapsabet Administration Police base in Nandi after one of the AP officers was found dead inside his room.
It is alleged that the officer was found dead inside his room at the camp after the officers noted a strange smell from his house. They forced their way in and found his body on the floor, motionless.
The cause of his death has not yet been established although some have connected it to alcoholism. According to some of the police officers who spoke to West Media Limited, the deceased was deeply addicted to drinking alcohol, and this had affected his work input.
However, the Administration Police commandant in Nandi County Mr. Joseph Kiara insisted the root cause of his death hasn’t been established but it will be known through postmortem.
He said the body has been moved to Kapsabet Referral Hospital Mortuary.
