Likuyani police are on the hunt for woman who is alleged to have done an abortion and dumped the foetus at a hotel veranda in Line Moja area near Matunda market.
Confirming the incident, Likuyani OCPD Mr. Meshack Kiptum said the foetus was discovered by the hotel owner Mr. David Faruk alias Munene when he arrived at the premise on Thursday morning and found a well wrapped paper bag abandoned near the main entrance.
“On checking inside, he discovered that the paper was carrying a foetus, used gloves and a skirt,” said Kiptum.
He added that instead of reporting to police, Munene wrapped it back and gave it to one of his employees and order him to throw it in the dust bin.
However a group of women who saw the scene became suspicious and proceeded to check in the paper bag after it was thrown in then bin and were shocked to find the male foetus.
They alerted police officers at Matunda police station who later arrested the hotel owner for ordering his employee, alleged to have a mental problem, to throw the foetus in the dustbin an action that is in human and against the law.
“We have launched investigation into the incident but the main suspects is still at large and we are hunting for her,” said Kiptum
