Police in Nandi have launched investigation on the suspected murder of a twenty four year old graduate of Nursing from Mosobecho village in Emgwen Constituency, Nandi County who was found dead inside his house.
Elvis Kipkemei, 24, a nurse graduate who had only graduated recently, was found dead in his house lying down in a pool of blood that was oozing out of the injured head and face, and is suspected to have been killed from elsewhere and dumped in his house.
Nandi Central Police Boss Doris Chemos confirmed the incident saying his officers were notified about the death whereby they went to the scene and found the body lying on the floor inside a house with wounds on the head and on the face.
Chemos said the police have launched investigations to establish the real cause of the death after conducting postmortem urging the deceased’s family and the public to be patient and give the police ample time to conduct their investigations.
“We are working around the clock to establish the cause of the death and also to ensure the murderers are brought to book.” Chemoss affirmed.
According to the deceased’s family, his academic credentials were missing and some things that were recovered beside his body were a pesticide, used gloves and a syringe together with some of the clothes the deceased had put on before he met his death.
They have appealed to the public or anyone with information that will help the police bring to book the culprits of the murderers to notify the police.
The deceased’s body is currently lying at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
