Police in Teso North Sub County in Busia County have launched investigations into an incident in which a woman was killed and her naked body dumped in a bush.
The woman, according to Teso North Sub County Police Commander David Muange, may have been killed in Bumula in Bungoma County and her body transported and dumped in a bush in Teso North.
Preliminary investigations into the incident show the woman lived in Bumula.
Muange said the body of the youthful lady who looked to be in her mid-twenties had no bruises, showing she did not struggle with her killers before she breathed her last.
Her body was taken to the Kocholya Level Four Hospital Mortuary where a postmortem will be conducted to establish the cause of her death.
Muange said whether the lady was raped before being killed will be established by a medical practitioner.
He said police are also probing to establish why her killers may have had to transport the woman’s body to Teso North if she was killed in Bumula, Bungoma County.
The lady, Muange said, was married but had separated from the husband.
