Few days after Kimilili Mp Didmus Barasa was attacked by a youth while addressing mourners in Kibingei village, the Kenya Police Service has reinstated his security details to avert such an incident in future.

Addressing the press after recording a statement over the incident at Kimilili police station the Mp said the Inspector General of police has ordered for his security details back after they were withdrawn during the Kabuchai by election.

He added that the police have also assured him of following up the matter saying it was unfortunate that he was attacked by the youth who was under influence of drugs saying action will be taken against him.

However, he downplayed those who were saying that he is weak saying he sought not to fight back during the incident saying he would have badly injured the youth basing on his martial arts background in the military.

Hon Barasa further called upon leaders from the County to accept criticism saying they need to prove to the electorates that they have delivered on their mandate.
