Bungoma police have launched investigations regarding an incident where unknown people torched the gate of Bungoma politician Zachariah Barasa.
According to Zachariah’s brother Martin Nyongesa, the unknown fellows arrived at the premises at the wee hours of Sunday night and set up tyres on fire that ended up burning the gate too.
He attributed the attack to political intolerance saying it is unfortunate that one has to use uncouth means of sorting out their differences saying they will not relent in fighting for the rights of the oppressed in the society.
His sentiments were echoed by Hamisi Suleiman who called upon the police to speed up their investigation regarding the matter.
