Pottery, for a longer period, has been overlooked and neglected by many people, terming it as a job done by lower class and less fortunate people.

However, according to potters from Luyekhe Village in Bumula Sub-County, pottery is as important and beneficial as any other job and has helped many people meet their day to day needs.

Speaking to West Media, women and youths who take part in modeling activities have urged the government to recognize them and also provide them with a conducive working environment as most of them undergo hard times while performing their duties.

The finished products from pottery are sold to different parts of the country.
