Politicians from West Pokot County have been urged to preach peace while looking for support from residents ahead of August polls.
John Kipchwen, Kipkomo Sub County Assistant County Commissioner said that it is a duty of politicians to preach peace and avoid hatred language that can cause disunity among residents that might lead to violence.
However, the area ACC urged residents to avoid politicians who want to use them to cause violence in their opponents’ rallies.
He advised them to analyze all politicians’ manifestos and agenda and be able to elect a development oriented leader and not to be lured with money.
