President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto have faulted the opposition leaders for persistently criticizing the government and setting up similar agendas to the Jubilee government as the general elections draw closer.
While addressing residents at Maraba town in Tindiret constituency, the two leaders urged opposition leaders to stop speaking ill of the government saying they have accomplished many of their set targets and projects including the launch of the Standard Gauge Railway, the Last Mile connectivity project, free maternity services, free primary education and equipping public hospitals with medical equipment.
During the commissioning of the ultramodern milk production unit at KCC in Eldoret, President Uhuru Kenyatta wondered why the factory wasn’t revived during Raila Odinga’s term in government, adding that at the moment, farmers will now be able to enjoy the factory’s services.
Concerning the technical institutions, Deputy President Ruto, who was speaking at Aldai Technical Institute, said the government is constructing such institutions countrywide in order to enable the youth to acquire technical skills, to be productive in the current life setting.
The two leaders also laid a foundation stone for the construction of Koitalel Samoei University in Nandi hills and revealed that the government has already earmarked a total of Kshs 800 million for the first phase.
While touring different places from Kobujoi, Kaptumo, Mugundoi, Nandi hills, Kapsabet, Chepterit, Mosoriot, Kabiyet and Kabisaga, they urged Nandi residents to fully support the Jubilee party and vote for Jubilee aspirants in the general elections from the perceived low seats to the highest seat, the Presidency.
