President elect William Ruto has thanked residents of Bungoma County for their massive support in the concluded general election saying they stamped their win.
Speaking at Christ the King Catholic church Bungoma after attending a church mass in company of his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua among other elected leaders, Ruto said the overwhelming votes they got in Bungoma will not go in vain.
He said that having Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi in Kenya Kwanza was a great boost to them saying he will work closely with Bungoma County Governor Ken Lusaka to spur development especially in the agriculture sector.
Hon. Ruto also said in efforts to have residents have better housing facilities, the Kenya Kwanza government will built affordable houses in order to eradicate slums and called upon Governor Lusaka to set aside land for the project.
Deputy President elect Rigathi Gachagua thanked residents of Bungoma County for their co- operation during the election time saying they were not swayed to vote otherwise.
He further called upon the people of Bungoma County to release Senator Moses Wetangula to serve as the Speaker of the national assembly saying he will be vital in passing of motions that will propel the country.
Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula called upon residents to be calm as they await the Supreme Court ruling on the Presidential results saying they are optimistic that they will win.
ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi called upon the church to pray for IEBC Wafula Chebukati saying he has been through a lot.
Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka promising to work hand in hand with the government to deliver to the people of Bungoma.
