President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned Chief Administrative Secretaries and Principal Secretaries that engaging in corruption and abuse of office won’t be taken lightly. During the swearing in of the Principal Secretaries and CASs at State Hose Nairobi on Friday, President Kenyatta said everyone will ahve to bear his or her cross, “I rpeat that no one will be spared if caught engaging in ciorruption and abuse of office, teh alw will take its course, we won’t take iot easy,” he said, “I want you all to appreciate that, so that when things get bad for you, you shouldn’t start blame games here and there, and hoping that phone calls won’t save you.”
President Kenyatta said the newly sworn-in leaders should focus on their duties and provide services and serve with integrity, responsiveness and honesty. “During the commencement of my second term, I promised Kenyans that there will be a difference in the deliverance of services. Corruption and misuse of public resources will be dealt with swiftly and ruthlessly,” he said. He added that the employment of the officials comes at an important time in the nation’s history, as there is a strong foundation set and the nation stands ready for a stable march towards prosperity, stability and the realization of dreams, saying he looks forward to the realization of the Big Four Plan. “I look towards my government for selfless service, unimpeachable integrity, dedication to duty and unmatched excellence and bringing to fruition the Big Four Agenda,” said the President.
