In the recent past, Malala has been leading campaigns while accompanied by UDA leadership within Western region who have been campaigning for other parties in the coalition including ANC and Ford Kenya to fold and join UDA so that they form a strong party that the President will use for his second and last stab of leadership.

Chikati however has claimed that the behavior of UDA Secretary General must be checked by none other than the President himself claiming that his barbaric utterances that he has been making in regard to his party leader and the President’s silence of reprimanding Malala speaks volumes.
“When you see a child abusing his neighbors then understand it’s his parents setting him against such neighbors to abuse them,” said Chikati in reference to President
The SG noted that Malala utterances against Luhya leaders want to send a signal to other leaders outside the Western region that leaders cannot unite and that his mission was to portray Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula as clueless leaders who cannot be trusted to lead the region.
On his part, Kwanza MP who is also Deputy party leader of Ford Kenya Ferdinand Wanyonyi assured its supporters that the party will not fold and that they will not allow dissolution of Ford Kenya party under their watch.
“We shall not allow this party to fold under our watch, Malala and his masters are daydreaming,” noted wanyonyi
He explained that the party has put on a raft of several meetings that are aimed at steering the party to greater heights, which include massive drive of registering its members.
Malala called upon leadership of the party in Trans Nzoia County to avoid wrangles that he claimed might break apart the party calling them to instead embrace each other in the affairs pertaining running of the party.
There has been two factions within the country one led by Wafula Mutacho who has been calling himself chair of the party in Trans Nzoia whilst Kwanza Mps side holding its ground that it’s legitimate in terms of leadership with Wanyonyi flexing his muscles and staying that he was the party’s chair that Mutacho was an intruder.
