By Kennedy Kilungu,
For the first time, in a radio interview since Sonko’s impeachment, President Uhuru Kenyatta has publicly addressed the detachment between him and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.
He admitted that he got off the ground the removal of the former governor from office because of a couple of issues among them being that Sonko was in squabbles with almost everyone.
The president went ahead and said that a lot of things in Nairobi County had come to a standstill because of Sonkos mode of leadership.
Despite the head of state spearheading the election of the former Nairobi boss into office, he put it clear that the former governor was doing very little for the county.
He concluded by giving praise to Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) for setting up a good delivery example, and a clear reflection that the government can deliver if the leaders in position are committed to their roles.
