The ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula may have a rough time launching his planned presidential bid in Kakamega after ODM leaders from the region and the council of elders have warmed up against the idea.
MCA’s allied to the ODM party have told the press that Wetangula as a co principle in CORD has not involved them in any way and thus say they read a sinister motive from the leader and the people behind him.
Lead by the deputy chair Kakamega county hon. Lucas Radoli, they called upon Wetangula to consider launching the bid in Nairobi given that he aspires to be a national chair.

The idea was seconded by a group of council of elders from the former western province who say that they are excited by the emerging news of their sons offering themselves to run for the presidency of the country.
In response, Ford Kenya leaders led by their chairperson Abel Mutima Nabwaya rubbished the idea insisting that the planned launch will take place as scheduled.
Nabwaya said that the county belongs to no single individual but the people arguing that the governor is just a leader and not the owner of Kakamega county.
He said that as a part of the CORD family they have received intimidation and were tired of the same.
He assured that Wetangula will launch his presidential bid on 19th March 2016 at Muliro Gardens in Kakamega town.
On his part the Kakamega county governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya said that he knew nothing about the launch noting that Wetangula is a co-principle in CORD and they already have a presidential candidate who is the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He said that he has not been consulted on the same and thus was in the dark about the launch.
