The Azimio la Umoja Flag bearer Raila Odinga has promised to include The Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia mudavadi in his government if elected President in the upcoming general elections.
“I have a political history with Musalia, he’s my son. When I take over as the President, I’ll invite him. I want us to work together and develop this nation.” Said Raila.
Mudavadi who supported Raila in the 2017 General Elections is now co- principal of the Kenya Kwanza coalition spearheaded by Raila’s opponent in the Presidential elective position, William Ruto.
Speaking while in Majengo area of Vihiga County, Raila asked the people of Vihiga County to come out in large numbers on the August 9 and vote Azimio la Umoja leaders in all the six elective positions of the National government and County government to ensure effective running of the government.
“If you elect Martha and I as your National government leaders, ensure uniformity at the county level, this will enable the government to run smoothly,” he added
At the eleventh hour of the campaign period, Raila clutched on Nyanza and Western region voters asking them to ensure a 100% voter turnout in their respective areas. The youths have been asked to help the elderly and the sick cast their votes by helping them get to the polling stations in time.
