Pan paper primary school in Lugari Sub County has received a donation of hand washing tanks and soaps from the Kenya Red cross in the efforts to fight the spread of corona virus.
Speaking after delivering the donation, the Lugari Sub County Kenya Red cross coordinator Martin Anyonge Kidaha said the school was among several schools identified to benefit from donation from the organization within Kakamega County.
Reiterating the organization’s commitment in fighting the Corona pandemic, Mr. Kidaha said the donation will help teachers and pupils to regularly wash their hands as one of the measures to control the spread of the virus.
The coordinator promised the organization’s continued support to the school which is facing several challenges.
The school head teacher Mrs. Roseline Wabwile who received the donation thanked Kenya Red cross for the items which she said will really help when schools open next month.
The organization donated two hand washing tanks and 13 cartons of bar soaps.
