The development follows cases of fire outbreaks emanating from trucks ferrying petroleum products along Webuye_ Malaba highway.

In his address, the governor urged area residents especially those residing along the highway to urgently report cases of fire outbreaks to the relevant authorities to cushion against devastating effects.

The trucks were burnt to ashes.

Most recently, another truck ferrying diesel exploded around Achunet Bridge along Ikapolok_ Malaba road causing panic among residents.

Efforts to put off the fire proved futile because the Fire fighting Engine From Busia arrived a little too late.

The helpless onlookers only watched the lorry being turned to ashes by the ravaging inferno.
