Bungoma County Deputy Governor Janepher Mbatiany has urged religious leaders to vehemently hold the political leadership to account as they execute their mandate to the people.
Speaking in Mihuu Ward, Webuye East Constituency, during the Official Dedication and Conferment of Webuye PEFA Church into Cathedral Status, Mbatiany implored Church leaders to support interventions aimed at helping political leaders deliver their agenda to the public.
“The Church has a huge responsibility of ensuring the government is in check. Do not fear, hold us to account”, said Mbatiany.
She emphasized on the need for Church leadership to work closely with the County Government of Bungoma on matters guidance and good governance.
In attendance was Webuye West MP, Hon. Dan Wanyama, UDA Senatorial candidate Mwambu Mabongah, host Village Administrators among other leaders.
