Residents from Lokna village, West Pokot County have urged West Pokot government to build a dam that will serve them with enough water.
Speaking to West Fm, residents from Lokna village stated that they travel for a long distance of eighteen kilometers to fetch water in Suam River.
They also noted that some of the residents have lost their animals due to long distance while searching for water. Similarly, they said that Agriculture sector has gone down.
However, they said that if West Pokot government builds the said dam it will help them for domestic use and promote Agriculture sector.
