Results in the repeat presidential polls in Trans Nzoia County have been revealed by IEBC, with a low voter turnout witnessed in the exercise in all the five Sub Counties.
In Kwanza constituency, the registered numbers were 65,643 with 124 polling stations situated within the constituency. The results were as follows as announced by returning officer Stella Malamba. Ekuru Aukot had 71 votes, Abduba Dida 17, Cyrus Jirongo 10, Japheth Kavinga 10, Uhuru Kenyatta had 14,029, Michael Wainaina 21, Joseph Nyaga 20, Raila Odinga had 300 Valid votes were 14,478, while rejected votes were 108 with percentage turn out being 22%.
There were few incidences of security breach witnessed in the County prior to the election day as youth burnt some car tyres at St Emmanuel primary school, scaring voters from voting, however, the tension subsided and voting continued.
In Endebess constituency, the total number of registered voters was 43,189. The results were as follows; Uhuru Kenyatta had 13,473, Raila Odinga 223, Ekuru Aukot 44 Mohammed Dida 13, Cyrus Jirongo 6, Kavinga Kaluyu had 13 and Joseph Nyaga 20.
In Saboti constituency total registered voters are 76,895 with Uhuru Kenyatta leading with 20,968 Raila Odinga 333, Joseph Nyaga 29, Michael Wainaina had 14, Kavinga Kaluyu had 31, Cyrus Jirongo had 13, Ekuru Aukot had 75 votes. Total votes cast were 21,497 with rejected votes being 129 votes.
In Kiminini Constituency the total number of registered voters was 77,482. Uhuru Kenyatta lead with 14,268 votes, Raila Odinga had 332 votes, Ekuru Aukot had 57, Cyrus Jirongo had 16, Micheal Wainaina had 6 votes, Joseph Nyaga had 17 votes.
In Cherangany constituency, the total number of registered voters was 76,506. Uhuru Kenyatta lead with 31,037, Raila Odinga was second with 377, Ekuru Aukot had 186 votes, Abduba Dida 42, Cyrus Jirongo had 24 votes, Kavinga Kaluyu had 30, while Joseph Nyaga had 35 votes. Valid votes were 31,758, while rejected votes were 207.
The exercise went on peaceful in the County with security beefed up in all the five Sub Counties.
