The hotly contested Kabuchai parliamentary by-elections hit Ruto’s allies like a fairy tale after Ford Kenya party wins the elections with a strong margin.
The 4th March by-elections has exposed Senator Wetangula’s strength in the region after the Ford Kenya Party candidate Majimbo Kalasinga hits the sky by winning the seat with 19, 274 votes against UDA candidate Evans Masinde Kakai who garnered 6,455 votes. Kalasinga who had contested for the seat for the third time now expressed his willingness to serve the people of Kabuchai under the Ford Kenya party with due diligence as he requested full support for the purpose of mwananchi’s benefit.
“ I will serve my people and my party under the leadership of my able party leader Moses Wetangula, “ said Kalasinga minutes after declared the member of parliament elect.
Accompanied by Bungoma Senator and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula , Kalasinga applauded the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission returning officer Benson Esuza for a free and fair election.
The Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula who seemed to have proved his political strength and shown his political bargaining power has called upon party rebels to rethink about their decisions for the purpose of uniting the Mulembe nation.
The elections which were faced with cheos led to the arrest of Kimilili member of parliament Didmus Barasa and Nandi senator Samson Cheregei spending a sleepless night behind bars in Bungoma Police cell over voter bribery allegations. The two are expected to appear before court today Friday 5th.
