Tindiret MP Julius Melly has preserved his seat after being re-elected for a third time on UDA ticket.
Melly scored a total of 38,715 votes against his opponent Samuel Malakwen who garnered 2,275 votes.
Melly who was flanked by his area MCAs elect in the region lauded the efforts of his electorates believing in him vowing to work together as a team in uplifting lives and bringing transformational agenda.
He urged his electorates to continue supporting him and do whatever they can to ensure development of the region is accomplished to better lives.
Elsewhere, former Deputy President Chief of Staff Maryane Kitany has been elected as the new Member of Parliament of Aldai on UDA ticket with 42,015 votes against his competitor the incumbent MP Cornelius Serem who scored 13,309 votes.
Kitany thanked her supporters for supporting her when in need and to her she has realized that his electorates love her thus promising lots of development.
