Parents in Sabatia Constituency, whose children performed well in Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and are eligible to join national schools, have been urged to make sure their children get admission.
Speaking at Mululu Primary School during the School Thanksgiving Day, the area Member of Parliament Alfred Agoi advised parents to make effort to ensure their children join the intended schools.
He urged those who can’t raise school fees, to get bursaries to facilitate the admission of their children.
Agoi said he wants 100% admission of form one students in all the schools in the Constituency. “Am calling on parents with school fees challenges to forward the names of their children to the Constituency Development Fund offices (CDF) and we are going to give them bursaries to facilitate their admission,” Agoi said.
The legislator added that education is the only resource in Vihiga County and all stakeholders in the education sector must work together to improve education standards in the area.
“Am going to engage education stakeholders specifically in Sabatia Constituency to improve education standards in the area,” he said.
